We also provide up to a 60% discount for early career psychiatrists. These discounts are as follows:

  • First year of practice: immediately following completion of residency, fellowship or active discharge from military
    - 60% discount on occurrence policies ( 50% discount in New York)
    - 60% discount on claims-made policies in California, Florida and Washington
    - 50% discount on claims-made policies in all other states
  • Second year of practice:
    - 40% discount on occurrence policies (discount unavailable in New York for occurrence policies*)
    - 40% discount on claims-made policies in California, Florida and Washington
    - 25% discount on claims-made policies in all other states (including New York)
  • Third year of practice:
    - 35% discount on occurrence policies (discount unavailable in New York for occurrence policies*)
    - 35% discount on claims-made policies in California, Florida and Washington
    - 25% discount on claims-made policies in all other states (including New York)
    *As per New York State law

We offer the same discounts to psychiatrists following discharge from active military duty.**

In addition to the early career discount, if you are a child and adolescent psychiatrist and meet specific criteria, you are eligible for a 15% rate reduction.
